In continuation to the “legacy” of “Mr. European” that has begun with the fully illustrated book “Mr. European and his fellowship”, in this new book, in a text by Nikos Nifoudis, we follow his relationship with a new character: “Mr. Volunteer” and through this, the history and the philosophy of volunteering.
Our new illustrated book, which is suitable for ages from eight to one hundred one years old (as we mention in the back cover!) follows the design and aesthetics of our first book “Mr. European and his fellowship” featuring: large pictures with simple and clear forms and shapes, vivid colors with subtle gradients that are applied to both the characters and their “scenography” and well-lit, “positive” compositions that make it a comfortable reading experience.
The cover of the book is designed and printed using a combination of special techniques that are rarely used in children’s books. Our book was published using artisanal bookbinding techniques including a fabric-clad side binding in which the title is written by the use of silk-print.
The high-craftsmanship and the lavishness of the book makes it stand out in a vast market of illustrated books and works as a proof of our respect to the children audience.
