Monsters across the Atlantic! On April 2013, Beetroot's acclaimed exhibition "The Greek Monsters" opened at the Olympic Tower Atrium of the Onassis Cultural Center on 5th Avenue in New York City! For the first time the monsters as seen through the eyes of our creative team travelled across the Atlantic to be presented in Manhattan's center as contemporary symbols of the design process, creativity and growth.

The Greek Monsters are celebrated as strong evidence of the keen ancient Greek observation of the cosmos, as symbols of social life, ethics and philosophy and as the semiotic treasures that still inspire us today. With their dual meaning both as perpetrators and victims, The Greek Monsters are ultimately exhibited as contemporary symbols against racism, generalization and exclusion while presenting key philosophical issues and practices in design and all of that with a sharp sense of humor.

The Greek Monsters stand for all those, who although might be perceived as "misfits" in the beginning, stay focused in producing, growing and expanding; no matter how difficult it may be under the current, or any circumstances. The Cyclops, the Minotaur, the Stymphalian Birds and more than twenty monsters of the Ancient Greek mythology, together with a brand new (York) monster designed especially for the exhibition's showing at the "Big Apple". Be(a)ware!
